This is how I've noticed AI is confusing people in real estate:
This is something I've been seeing more and more.
I'll have a buyer or seller ask what I think their home is worth... then they'll immediately ask AI and compare my answer to what it says.
Here's the problem.
AI has never walked through your house. It doesn't know the neighbor has a yard full of junk. It doesn't hear the dogs barking all day. It doesn't notice the road noise, power lines, or the crawl space that needs work.
It doesn't know if the layout feels awkward or if the home flows beautifully. It can't tell if the walls need paint, if the landscaping adds value, or if the lot has soil conditions that could affect someone's plans to build a pool.
It also doesn't know why one home is perfect for an older buyer, a growing family, or someone who needs fewer stairs and a walk-in shower.
Those are the things that move the needle.
AI is great for gathering information. I use it myself. But it can't replace walking a property, knowing the market, and understanding what buyers actually value.
Real estate isn't just data. It's experience, context, and judgment. So if you're buying or selling a home, use AI as a resource, but don't mistake it for an expert.
