Darcee and I met by pure chance in 2015. At the time, the broker/owner of my office had been telling me that I needed help because of the volume of business I was generating. One day, Darcee came in to interview for an office staff position, but it had already been filled. The broker was impressed with her and called to tell me there was someone I should meet.
As luck would have it, I was nearby, so I stopped by the office to meet her. I wasn't prepared to conduct an interview, and I certainly didn't have a job description in hand. Still, I knew she had the experience and work ethic I was looking for. A few days later, I offered her an hourly position.
Darcee brought more than 20 years of property management experience from California, but she had just relocated to Tennessee and had a lot to learn about the local real estate market. She later told me that when we first met, I seemed overwhelmed with work—and she wasn't wrong. I had a tremendous backlog of clients and transactions, and her arrival couldn't have come at a better time.
A few years later, Darcee earned her real estate license and began selling homes. I paid for her real estate school because I believed in her potential, and it turned out to be a great investment for both of us. Watching her grow into a successful real estate professional has been incredibly rewarding.
One of my favorite memories was helping Darcee purchase her first home. The market was extremely competitive, and finding the right property wasn't easy. One evening I called her and said, "You may say no, but I think I found a great house just outside the area you've been searching." Thankfully, she trusted my instincts. It turned out to be an incredible home—and it even came with a brand-new pool. Seeing someone who works as hard as Darcee achieve the dream of homeownership was one of the most rewarding experiences I've had. She later moved her parents here to a home close by so the location turned out to be perfect.
Today, Darcee is an invaluable part of our team. She is dedicated, dependable, and genuinely cares about the people she serves. She is a pleasure to work with, and everyone on the team enjoys working alongside her. I look forward to seeing her continued success for many years to come.
